It wasn't until Friday 9th July 2004 when the new MK Dons shirts arrived from Italy, meaning the Dons played the entire preseason fixture list with no badges on their shirts. There was no time to stitch on the badges the day before a game.

A routine win for Stuart Murdoch's Dons but what was an oddity was that Luke Wildy was on loan to FC Haukar from MK Dons and played for FC Haukar that day.

Also note, Dean Lewington's first MK Dons goal came against an Icelandic side in FC Haukar if you really want to be technical.

A frustrating one for MK Dons as they failed to beat Northern Irish side Glentoran as Ben Chorley was sent off just before half time. 

Paul Harries also played for MK Dons on trial but left the pitch injured.

MK Dons made the small trip to Bedford Town to play in the Eddie Lawley testimonial game.

Allan Smart sent off for a two yellow cards. 

MK Dons won 4-3 on penalties. Julian Hornuss scored winning penalty after Olhanense missed the final penalty therefore winning the 2004 Portimao Cup.
