Will Collar joined MK Dons on a free transfer from Stockport County in July 2025, signing a contract after helping Stockport establish themselves in the EFL. The central midfielder had spent more than four years with the Hatters, making over 150 league appearances and scoring 32 league goals.

Collar made his MK Dons debut on the opening day of the 2025/26 season, starting in the 0–0 draw with Oldham Athletic. He became a regular in Paul Warne's midfield during the first half of the campaign, scoring his first Dons goal in the 3–1 win over Crewe Alexandra in October 2025.

His first season was disrupted by a hamstring injury suffered against Swindon Town on Boxing Day. Despite missing the remainder of the campaign, Collar had already made 22 League Two appearances, scoring twice and registering one assist.
