Marvin Ekpiteta joined MK Dons in August 2025 from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, bringing significant experience to the Dons’ defence. The 6ft 4in centre-back had previously enjoyed four successful seasons with Blackpool, making more than 100 appearances and helping the club win promotion to the Championship in 2020/21.
Ekpiteta made his MK Dons debut as a late substitute in the opening-day victory at Barrow. He quickly established himself as an important member of Paul Warne’s defence, combining his strength and aerial ability with the pace to defend in a higher line.
During the 2025/26 campaign, Ekpiteta made 41 appearances and scored six goals, playing a major role as MK Dons finished second in League Two and secured promotion to League One.
His first MK Dons goal came in a 2–2 draw away at Grimsby Town in January 2026. By the end of the season, Ekpiteta had become one of the experienced leaders of the Dons’ back line.
