Maguire joined MK Dons on 6 June 2024 on a free transfer from Chesterfield, having just helped Crawley Town win promotion to League One while on loan. A composed centre-back, he had spent most of his career with Chesterfield and brought considerable League Two experience to the Dons.

He made his MK Dons debut on 24 August 2024, starting in the 3–0 home victory over Carlisle United. His first Dons goal came on 16 November 2024, when he scored the winner in a dramatic 3–2 comeback against Cheltenham Town.

Maguire's opportunities became more limited during 2025–26, making seven league appearances and scoring once.
