Jonathan Leko first joined MK Dons in January 2023 from Birmingham City. A pacey and versatile forward who can play across the front three, he made an immediate impact, scoring on his first full season with the club and notably netting a brace against Wrexham on the opening day of 2023–24.

After a loan spell at Burton Albion during 2023–24, Leko returned to MK Dons and signed a new contract in June 2025. Injury problems and limited opportunities restricted his involvement during his final two seasons, but he remained part of the squad that secured promotion to League One in 2025–26.
